Mrs Sizemore

Into the second half of our Autumn term and we are about to tackle the Vikings. Looking forward to investigating this exciting period of history; finding out why the Vikings came here and where they were from, how they lived and the legacy they have left behind them.

In art we have taken inspiration from the works of Henri Rousseau and have almost completed our painted jungle landscapes. They are looking really good.

Reading Challenge:

The reading challenge is indeed underway and I feel sure our first certificate is imminent. Good start, Class 4, let's keep it up.

Our DT will link to our viking theme, as we will be designing and making pouches or purses which the vikings may have used. It might be helpful if you keep an eye out for any useful materials between now and then. Leather would be good, as long as it is thin enough to sew with ease, faux leather or suede, or a woven woollen fabric.
