Teaching Assistant (Grade 5)
The Governors at St Anne’s Fulshaw CE Primary School in Wilmslow are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join the team from March 2023 until the end of the summer term. This could be extended should the right candidate need to give notice to a current employer.
The role involves working as part of a cohesive team to support specified children, who have an EHCP or who are awaiting a needs assessment, with their learning, their social and emotional development and their welfare. The successful candidate will need to be hard working, resilient, adaptable and prepared to put the interests and needs of the children first at all times. Experience and knowledge of working with children with social and emotional difficulties would be an advantage, specifically autism, PDA and ADHD. Further training will be provided if required.
Initially this post will be temporary until 21st July 2023, when the position will be reviewed. Historically we endeavour to retain good staff. The hours of work total 24 hours weekly, term time only, plus attendance at four INSET days. Working hours will be determined by the Headteacher. The post is paid at Grade 5 and is reviewed annually. The initial starting salary for this post is £12,723 (actual).
The school takes its responsibility to safeguard children seriously and the appointment will be dependent on a successful Enhanced DBS check.
