Learning outside the classroom

Here are the activities you are to complete while you are unable to come to school.

Continue to add to your  Reading Record  scrapbook.  We are monitoring this regularly.

Continue to add to your Learning Outside the Classroom scrapbook. This is one place where you can upload any of the work you are doing while you are working at home.

Please try to stick to a daily routine which we think will help you in these strange circumstances. Each week you have a sheduled zoom chat with your group and a teacher. (Sometimes you might get more than one teacher!)

Read for minimum 30 minutes, and record your reading in your reading record scrapbook.

Follow the White Rose Maths for your year group. Click on the link for Year 5 here and Year 6 here

Practise maths skills on Education CIty.

Get outside for 30 minutes, have fun and get out of breath.

Complete the reading and associated tasks from your zoom group ready for the following week's conversation.

Complete a page in your maths homework book. Please ask Mum or Dad to mark these each week. Upload a photo of your competed page so we can see any areas of difficulty. Then we can send you specific help.

Get busy in the kitchen. Help prepare an evening meal for your family. Think about how to plan a balanced meal, take a photo of the meal and take reviews from your family. Upload the picture and reviews to a class 5 blog (Cooking at home) and be sure to include the recipe.

Write a letter and post it to someone in your family who might be alone and missing company.

Make something extraordinary out of Lego, or create a beautiful painting or creation, take a photo and share it with the class by uploading it to our Creativity blog. Be sure to comment on each others' work. We plan to!
