Equalities Information

Under the Public Sector Equality Duty, schools should take steps to eliminate unlawful discrimination and harassment, and to actively promote equality. All schools must publish information annually to show that they have consciously thought about the three aims of the Equality Duty and part of the process of decision making. Schools with less than 150 employees are exempt from publishing some of this information.

By 6th April 2012 and at least every four years thereafter, schools should publish objectives that they think should achieve to meet one or more of the aims of the general equality duty. An equality impact assessment should be undertaken first, before making any significant decisions.

The timing of this year’s equality impact assessment has been affected by the pandemic, however all areas detailed in Stage One have been considered and benchmarked against local demographic data and three areas for development have been identified.

The school’s Equality Policy was last reviewed in May 2021.
