Big Question Day 2014

On 1st April 2014, all the pupils in school spent the day thinking about 'Big Questions' such as how do we know if a thing is real, what makes a true friend, what colour is love and are you the same person you were a year ago?

Children created artwork inspired by Keith Haring and Barney Ibbotson and thought about the values and attributes of themselves and each other.

They engaged in lots of philosophy for children activities to develop their awareness of deeper thinking.

And lucky Classes 4 and 5 worked with famous Manchester poet Mike Garry for the day to consider some ideas generated by who are we, where have we come from and where are we going?

Feedback from pupils and staff was very positive and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to think about significant questions and express themselves creatively for a whole day.
