Mental Health Champions
Welcome to our Mental Health Champions page
Our Mental Health Champions help promote positive mental health and wellbeing within our school setting.
With this peer to peer support at the heart of our whole school approach, we encourage normalising talking about emotions and feelings, and seeking help and support if any child is feeling vulnerable.
Our Mental Health Champions are made up of six Yr5 & Yr6 pupils, who have applied for the positions and demonstrated that they have a keen interetst in learning about peer support around mental health and wellbeing.
The chosen children will attend 2 initial training sessions with the Senior Mental Health Lead. This will centre around what positive mental health looks like and also learning about active and empathic listening. There will be on-going support for them throughout the year, as well as our half termly MHC meetings.
