Governing Body 2024-25
Wendy Clark – Staff Governor – end of term of office 16.06.28
I am the Admin Officer at St Anne's Fulshaw. I really enjoy my job, which explains why I have been here for over 20 years! In my capacity as Staff Governor I am a member of the Resources and the Personnel, Pay and Performance Committees.
Clare Daniel – Headteacher Governor – end of term of office N/A
I am the Headteacher at St Anne’s Fulshaw and have been since 2004. I am very proud of our lovely school and of the wonderful opportunities we give all of our children to enjoy learning and have fun. I support other schools with their improvement plans during the year and take every advantage of seeing good practice and great ideas……and bringing them back to our school when I can! In my spare time, I love relaxing with my family and enjoying music, film and art together.
Maxine Drabble (Chair) – Co-opted Governor – end of term of office 31.08.26
Originally from north Manchester I have spent my working career in London as Company Secretary for a variety of international companies across a range of sectors recently focussing on corporate governance and risk management. Never having taken a gap year I decided to retire early and return to the North West. I am an active member of my Church and am looking forward to contributing to the local community in a variety of ways.
Angela Fitton – Foundation Governor – end of term of office 15.08.26
I have been asked to represent the Church as a Foundation Governor. I am happy to give my help and experience where I can. I was married 52 years ago. My husband is an architect and had a practice in Manchester until he retired. I taught mathematics in secondary schools for 36 years and was a Stockport Magistrate for 12 years. We have two children who live in Wilmslow with their spouses and we have six grandchildren, all attending Wilmslow schools. We lived in Marple for 35 years and moved to Wilmslow three years ago. I have attended St Bart’s and St Anne’s since I came. In our spare time, we love to travel, to go for walks and we love to read, do jigsaws and my husband is a model- maker and golfer. I miss my garden but tend my flower pots on our balcony.
Steve Franklin – Parent Governor – end of term of office 09.10.28
I am a parent of two young children: my son, who is in Maple class, and my daughter, who we hope will join St. Anne’s Fulshaw next September. Since moving to Wilmslow in December 2020, our family has felt at home in this welcoming community, and we’re delighted to have extended family nearby in Cheshire.
Professionally, I qualified as a solicitor in 2010, specialising in structured finance, and have gained experience working with several leading international and US law firms. Currently, I am a Director and Senior Legal Counsel at a Japanese Investment Bank in London.
St. Anne's stands out to me as a nurturing and inspiring school, and I fully support its Christian ethos. I am passionate about fostering a compassionate, inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to reach their full potential.
In my spare time, I enjoy family adventures, staying active, and exploring new cuisines and restaurants.
Natalie Lloyd – Co-opted Governor – end of term of office 22.05.26
I moved to Wilmslow several years ago and my eldest child began school at St Anne’s Fulshaw in 2011. I used to work as a Deputy Headteacher before I had children, so I feel very privileged to be able to play a part in the development of the school. I have also become involved in the PTA which I am finding really enjoyable. I love spending time with my husband and three children.
Sally Petrie – Co-opted Governor – end of term of office 12.03.27
I retired in 2018 from my role as Assistant Head at Cheadle Hulme School. I was, latterly, Head of Admissions, having previously been in a pastoral role as Head of Lower School. I continued to teach English throughout my time at CHS and also taught Drama and Creative Writing.
I volunteer one day a week with Back on Track, a Manchester based charity providing educational opportunities for vulnerable adults, I do occasional film and TV extra work and I work part time for a copywriting agency.
I have lived in Wilmslow for 25 years, my three grown up daughters all live locally and my husband is a retired GP and a keen golfer and allotmenteer.
I loved the school on my recent visit: staff and students worked their magic on me with a carol singing rehearsal and an impromptu poetry performance!
Rev Eddie Roberts – Foundation Governor – end of term of office N/A
Those who have heard me speak will know that I am a Mancunian and quite proud of it too. I spent 20 years in the construction industry, though my staff would NEVER let me loose with a trowel or a screwdriver. I sold the business and did a short stint with a London PLC soon after being ordained. I have three children, one grown up in Manchester and two with us here in Wilmslow.
For fun, I love theatre, travel and eating out as well as a very long slog as a Manchester City season ticket holder.
Most of my ordained ministry has been in North Manchester and I have worked in ten schools of very different styles. Some, I have just served by doing assemblies and some teaching - others I served in most governance roles.
I am delighted to be in Wilmslow and already very proud of this school the Church family calls ‘ours’.
Matt Williamson – Co-opted Governor – end of term of office 31.08.26
Matt is a JNC and degree qualified youth worker, Mental Health First Aid Instructor and has and ABC Counselling qualification. Matt has over 10 years’ experience and has worked with charities, churches, schools and youth services. Wilmslow youth works in our local High School as well as offering Alternative Education services and regular counselling services and facilities. The ROC Cafe (Youth club) runs 3 times a week for all young people aged 11-18 headed up by Matt and his team of staff and volunteers.
