Senior Mental Health Lead (AAAD5073) – Grade 7
The Governors at St Anne’s Fulshaw CE Primary School in Wilmslow are looking to appoint a Senior Mental Health Lead to join the team from 24th February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The role involves working as part of a cohesive team to provide children with high quality and effective emotional, mental health and wellbeing support. It will involve:
- supporting pupils who may be at risk with emotional and mental health concerns
- working with colleagues to monitor and review the needs of identified pupils
- delivering targeted wellbeing and mental health interventions for pupils
- providing advice, expertise and support to other staff on child welfare, safeguarding and child protection matters
- attending safeguarding and CP/CIN/PEP meetings to represent the voice of the child
- ensuring that good communication and liaison is sustained throughout the team and with relevant external people
- assuming the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead
- delivering and supporting staff in the delivery of the myHappymind programme
The successful candidate will join a team that is hard working, resilient, adaptable and really enjoys working with children. Further training will be provided if required. We hold the silver myHappymind award and are currently working towards the gold award.
The hours of work total 37 hours weekly, term time only for 39 weeks of the year (190 days with children plus 5 INSET days). The post is paid at Grade 7 and is reviewed annually. The salary for this role is within the range £30,559 to £33,366 pro rata. This is not a full year post.
The school takes its responsibility to safeguard children seriously and the appointment will be dependent on a successful Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
